Immaterial patrimony of the State arranges

The Agency of the immaterial patrimony of the State or APIE is a French public agency in load of the inheritance such as patents, radioelectric licenses, frequencies, marks, images, databases or any other inheritance or immaterial property pertaining at the French State.

Created by a circular of April 23rd 2007 following the report/ratio on the economy of immaterial of the commission Levy-Jouyet, it is attached to the ministry for the Economy and Finances. It must answer 3 strategic objectives:

- to optimize the impact of the management of the immaterial patrimony on the economy;

- to benefit from a better valorization of the credits to modernize the public services, to support the control of the public policies to the profit them users and to contribute to degearing;
- to secure the State and the users against possible risks of diversion.
