Imbourc\' H

Imbourc h' (“Research” in the direction of “research of the truth”) is an independent review into Breton founded by Youenn Olier in 1969.

Origin

First of all re-examined semi-official of Emsav Ar Bobl Vrezhon , political apparatus remained embryonic, which answered the ousting of Youenn Olier and pol. Kalvez of rear Emsav Stad Brezhon (ESB), another structure were born rather quickly, Skol An Emsav .

Following the congress of Skol year Emsav with Guingamp in 1972, pol. Kalvez lost the presidency of it, and Youenn Olier took its distances with SAE which, following 1968, chose a “populist” line (by opposion with “élitiste”: Gwalarn and SADED , Strollad year Deskadurezh eil Derez , the ancestor of the Colleges Diwan ) and who did not accept any more the Christian heritage.

Christian inspiration

From there, Imbourc' H becomes clearly Chrétienne of inspiration and published each month of the Notennoù Politikel : a platform of reflection on the evolution of the world and the Emsav by Youenn Olier, and this until its death in December 2004. The step is clearly in conformity with the teaching of the Catholic church and also resolutely “élitiste”, so as to be able to express all the folds of the thought in Breton (publication of 3 dictionaries of new words corresponding to the needs for the review, in particular in the fields of the philosophical, political and theological reflection, in particular with the articles of Jil Ewan).

Publications

The publications of Imbourc' H accelerated with time to become prolific of many pages published in the years 1990… but not of many drawn specimens: approximately 200. The quality of these editions is very artisanal, because Imbourc' H prints and connects itself its editions, because of weak pulling.

Thus there be more than three meters of library of published 1969 with 2004, including in particular 25 volumes of the Deizlevr of Youenn Olier, and the Bréviaire translates of Latin by Marsel Klerg, edition carried out by pol. Kalvez (12 volumes).

Modern time

Since 2000, a bulletin was launched by Tepod Gwilhmod, Kannadig Imbourc' H , and the publisher was ratachée with Emglev An Tiegezhioù . It is, in addition to being of inspiration Catholique, openly “nationalist” (since 2000), term which reveals especially the close political link between the fact of speaking Breton and the Breton identity: “Is Breton that which speaks Breton” said Tepod Gwilhmod.

Contributors
