Imaginot line

The line Imaginot , the linha Imaginòt in occitan, is a proposal for a certain idea of the defense of the richnesses and cultural characteristics of the areas of the south of France, in particular the Occitanie but in a nonexclusive way.

The idea was defended by the writer and thinker occitan Felix Castan, and was taken up by various artists of which the Fabulous Trobadors, the Massilia Sound System, and Bernard Lubat. It is Claude Sicre which in 1990 formalizes the concept.

The imaginary line which starts from Marseilles to finish with Uzeste gathers collectives which carry out a reflection on the Décentralisation, the defense of the regional cultures, the fraternity and the curiosity of the other but also the duty of solidarity (in particular with the Repas of district carried out in the Quartier Arnaud Bernard of Toulouse). The movement these last years was obviously partly found in the fights Altermondialiste S, without necessarily sharing all the aspects of them.
