Illidan Stormrage

Illidan Stormrage , also known under the name of Illidan the traitor is a character resulting from the universe of the video game Warcraft (of the studios Blizzard Entertainment).

History

Illidan is a Elfe of the night and a hunter of demons. It was condemned by his like a traitor (of or his nickname) to have created a second well of eternity by pouring flasks containing the magic water of the first well in a lake located at the top of the Hyjal mount. Thereafter, the Tree world was planted by three of the 5 great aspects (Alexstrasza, Ysera and Nozdormu) to protect the new well. Several wanted that it is carried out, however, having taken part in the closing of the gate and having prevented the arrival of Sargeras at the time of the first war against the Burning Legion, it was locked up in catacombs by his/her brother, Malfurion Stormrage, under the narrow monitoring of the Guardian, Maiev Shadowsong, to pass there the remainder of its days (eternity, since it is immortal) in the darkness. However, afterwards: 10000 years of enfermement, Tyrande Whisperwind is able to leave it its prison: she thought that Illidan could be a very invaluable ally vis-a-vis the armies of the Burning Legion.

Illidan will leave for the marshes suffering where it will be informed by Arthas Menethil that a lord of the fear of the name of Tichondrius corrupted the forest, and that its execution will look after the ground. It breaks for that a magic cranium, and adapts the ancient power of demons, using which it will embank Tichondrius. By seeing it under its true nature, Malfurion banishes it once again.

Illidan flees with the assistance of the Nagas and Lady Vashj, which it wishes to guide until the any power. It must however make peace with his brother when Tyrande Whisperwind, liked of the two men, is found isolated and badgered by a horde from death-alive. Once Tyrande healthy and saves, it decides to join the grounds devastated with the assistance of a gate. But it is continued closely by Maiev Shadowsong, which had been sworn D-to lock up it. It will also rejoin with him the elves of blood of Kael' thas, which will help it to be left the claws of the Guardian, and some Draeneï which it will meet in the world of the Outreterre (devastated remainders of Draenor) devastated by the engagements against the Burning Legion and which it supports vis-a-vis the local orcs.

After having closed the gates opened by the Burning and dislocated Legion the lord of the grounds devastated, Magtheridon, it receives the visit of Kil' jaeden, demon which had recruited it to kill King-Liche Ner' zhul and which summons it to complete its work.

He is then constrained to go to Icecrown (where the Throne of Ice is located), and must face Arthas Menethil. In spite of its dexterity, it cannot equalize the power of Arthas, armed with the legendary sword Frostmourne (in French Deuillegivre ). Overcome, it however manages to survive and is constrained to turn over in the shade some time, taking refuge once more on Outreterre, with the elves of blood and Nagas.

Fact to note: Illidan is in love with Tyrande Whisperwind, this one chose his/her Malfurion brother, furious and feeling rejected, it committed several crimes which will lead to its imprisonment (in particular the corruption of a lake located at the top of the Hyjal mount with water flasks of the old well of eternity).

Illidan remakes off its appearance in the extension World Warcraft: The Burning Crusade and will be probably one of the most important characters of this extension, it is the final boss of the keep Black Temple , introduced by the patch 2.1.
