Illargibelar

Illargi belar is the Basque word indicating lunar grass . It is the Carlina acaulis, the flower of the woodland Chardon. One hangs it to the Linteau principal door or at the entry of the house so that it is not struck by the Foudre.

In other places of the country this flower, which can be called Eguzkilore (flower of the sun), is regarded as a symbol Solaire protecting the house from the Orage S and the malignant Esprit S.

Etymology

Illargi belar means " lunar grass " out of Basque, of illargi (the moon) and belar (grass). the suffix has indicates the article: illargi belar' a' thus results in " the grass lunaire".

Note

There does not exist kind ( male , female ) in the Basque language and all the letters decide. There is thus no association as for French or WHICH decides KI .
