Ili

The Ili is a river of China and Kazakhstan, length of: 1439  km, which takes its source in the Tian Shan (celestial Mounts) in the province of the Xinjiang in China and is thrown in the Lac Balkhach in Kazakhstan.

Crossed areas

In China, it crosses the Kazakh autonomous Préfecture of Ili by a valley which slices by its verdoyance neighbouring arid grounds. The town of Yining, with less than 100 km of the Kazakh border, is on its Right Bank.

In Kazakhstan, it crosses the province (Oblys) of Almaty on 815 km, before being thrown by vast a delta in the Lac Balkhach.
