Ilan Duran Cohen

Ilan Duran Cohen is a realizer, producer and French scenario writer born in 1963. He is also author of novels published at Actes Sud. Its Production company is Fugitive Productions.

He studied the cinema in the New York Film School. He carried out two court-measurings and in 1991, he carries out its first feature film, Lola Zipper with Judith Reval, Arielle Dombasle and Jean-Paul Comart. He signs also the realization of documentary a Black Cow Boy .

He decides to temporarily stop the setting in scene to devote itself to the writing.

In 1997, its first novel, Chronic alician , is published in the editions Actes Sud. In 1999, to the Son of the sardine in the same editor appears. Cynical humor and the sensitivity of its first two books were largely voted by plebiscite.

In 2006, it carried out the telefilm the Lovers of the Flora which represents in an unusual way the mythical couple Jean-Paul Sartre - Simone de Beauvoir whereas they are students, incarnated by Anna Mouglalis and Lorànt Deutsch.

It should turn during the summer a 2007 police comedy with Lorànt Deutsch, Marina Foïs, Jeanne Balibar and Amira Casar.

He writes also a musical Biopic on Mike Brant, Mike Brant forever .
