Ilakaka
Ilakaka is a town of Madagascar which developed very quickly with the image of the towns of Amazonia which work invaluable stone mines.
The inhabitants are attracted by these mines with open sky and try to improve their daily newspaper.
Geography
Cité to 735 km in the south of Tananarive, the edge of the National park of Isalo.It is located at the edge of the road of Tuléar at the south-west of Madagascar.
History
Since 1998, after the discovery of an important sapphire layer, formerly small country village, it was transformed into a city worthy of the far-west, victim of the fever of sapphire, with its thousands of people come to try their chance, its hut-mushrooms, its bars, its closed houses and its settlings of score.This fever gained all the country and each tributary day of the hundreds of people in the area to try their chance.
Demography
The city exploded with the ceaseless flood of new people.Today, in 2007, the city counts approximately 20.000 inhabitants according to the local authorities, but this figure is difficult to estimate because to and from are ceaseless. The 18 ethnos groups composing the Malagasy population are represented there.
Economy
The Tourmaline is exploited by very modest people, often of son father, which hopes to become rich.
Environment and Infrastructure
