Ignaz von Ephrussi

Ignaz von Ephrussi is a banker born with Odessa (Russia) on March 16th 1829 and died in Vienna (Austria) on May 31st 1899.

He marries, on November 11th 1855 with Vienna (Austria), Emilie Porgès (1836-1900) of which he has three children:

  • Victor Ritter von Ephrussi (Odessa, 1860 - Tunbridge, 1945)

  • Stephan (C. 1856 - C. 1911)
  • Anna (Odessa, 1859 - Vienna, 1889) (Mrs. Herz von Hertenfried).

It is anobli in 1872 by the emperor of Austria.

It is him which made build in Vienna the palate Ephrussi 14 Karl-Lueger Ring which always exists and is now the seat of an administration. In Paris, it resided 81 rue de Monceau (VIIIe).
