Ignacio Sánchez Mejías , born the June 6th 1891 with Seville (Spain), died with Madrid (Spain), the August 13rd 1934, was a Spanish Matador.

Presentation

Wire of the Spanish middle-class, he was a bullfighter atypical, bold, author of theater, friend of the intellectuals and president of the football club Real Betis Seville.

He dies on August 13rd, 1934 of a gas gangrene, after two days of anguish, following the wound inflicted in the arenas of Manzanares by the bull Granadino .

His/her friend, the poet Federico García Lorca composed, after his death, the célèvre LLanto por Ignacio Sánchez Mejías , which ends in these worms:
