Ignacio Pichardo Pagaza

Jose Ignacio Pichardo Pagaza (November 13rd 1935, Toluca, State of Mexico City) is a lawyer and a Mexican politician, member of PRI and he was governor of the state of Mexico City and secretary of Contrôlerie and Energy.

Ignacio Pichardo is graduate lawyer of the UNAM, it carried out a third cycle in administration in Darmouth College and has a master in administration and public finances of London School off Economics.

It began its career as a local deputy in the state from Mexico City about the middle of the years 1960. It occupied the load of general secretary of the government in the state of Mexico City during the mandate of Carlos Hank González (1969-1975), under-secretary of federal Finances and federal deputy, where he was president of the Commission of public Programming and Budget and Account of the House of Commons. He was also under-secretary has of Contrôlerie Générale of the Federation and secretary of Contrôlerie Générale of the Federation in the government of Miguel of Madrid between 1987 and 1988.

In 1988 it was indicated federal prosecutor of the consumer in the government of Carlos Salinas de Gortari and in 1989 it was appointed governor of the state of Mexico City, after the renouncement of the station by Mario Ramón Beteta. It remained there during the four remaining years of the constitutional period.
