Igapo
Igapo is a word of origin tupi.
In Amazonia, left the forest which remains marshy after the shrinking of water of believed in the low zones of the plain of flood (Varzea) or because of the pads along the banks which prevent that all water returns to the river.
The vegetation is less high and less luxuriant there. One finds species of the following kinds there: Aldina , Couepia , Heterostemon , Licania , Macrolobium , Ormosia , Panopsis , Roupala .
