Ieremia Tabai

Ieremia Tienang Tabai (modernized orthography Tabwai ) is a Politician Gilbertin born in 1950. He is the president of the Kiribati July 12th 1979 with the July 3rd 1991 with a short interruption of the December 10th 1982 with the February 18th 1983 where Rota Onario, president of the Council of State held the interim.

At the time of its election, it was the youngest Head of State of the the Commonwealth, at only 29 years. Its party was the National Progressive Party, until 1991.
