Ier lambert of Leuwen

Lambert Ier says the Barbu , born towards 950, died with Florennes the September 12th 1015, was count de Louvain of 988 with 1015 and of Brussels of 994 with 1015. It was wire of Régnier III, count de Hainaut.

It was still adolescent when in 958, it took refuge at the court of France with its family when his/her father was exiled in Bohemia by the archbishop Brunon of Cologne.

He supported the count Baudouin IV in 1005 when he seized Valencians and was opposed to the emperor Henri II, but was probably overcome because he had to entrust his son in otage.

Joined by its nephew Régnier V of Mons, Lambert delivered the combat to Godefroy with Florennes, but it was killed during the battle.
