Ier boson
Boson Ier says also Boson (895-935) is the son of Richard II of Burgundy known as Richard the Dispenser of justice , duke of Burgundy and Adélaïde. He is the nephew, of Rodolphe Ier of Burgundy, the king Charles the Bald person and also of Boson V of Provence.
He is the brother of the king Raoul Ier and the duke of Burgundy, Hugues the Black.
Boson is Abbé Laïc of the Saint-Pierre abbey of Moyenmoutier and of the abbey of Remiremont in the the Vosges.
Biography
In 924, following an agreement between Raoul and the count of Provence Hugues of Arles, he marries Berthe of Arles (913 - 965), girl of Boson of Arles and niece of Hugues.After the departure of his father-in-law in Italy towards 931, it deals with Provence whose his woman is countess.
He dies at the end 935 during a forwarding in Lorraine against Hugues, little time after the death of the woman of his Raoul brother.
Boson Ier and Boson II
Certain authors, as P.A. February identify Boson Ier and Boson II, the father of Guillaume of Provence, like only one and even nobody; and of this fact make die Boson Ier into 968.
Against this assertion, certain authors note that this Boson would have lived 73 years and would have had children has a advanced age, at almost 60 years.
