Idrissa Seck

Idrissa Seck is a politician Senegal board, born the August 9th 1959 with Thiès, old Prime Minister.

Biography

Graduate of the Institute of political studies of Paris, it also attended the Université Princeton (Woodrow Wilson School) with the the United States. He was prize winner of the open Competition in Senegal which devotes the best pupils of the country and was noticed during his studies as a pupil particularly shining.

Seck was a minister of state, principal private secretary of the president Abdoulaye Wade, before being named Prime Minister for the November 4th 2002 with the April 21st 2004, to replace Mame Madior Boye. Idrissa Seck was at the time mayor of Thiès and number two of the Senegalese Democratic party (PDS), with the capacity since April 2000.

Seck will finish second with 14,86% of the voices at the time of the first turn, far behind Abdoulaye Wade (55,90%).
