Idris Muhammad

Idris Muhammad born Leo Morris the 13 November 1939 with the Orleans News, (Louisiana) is a Batteur of Jazz.

Muhammad is known for its style funky. It recorded many albums and played with largest jazzmen, in particular Lou Donaldson, Johnny Griffin, Pharoah Sanders and Grover Washington, Jr.. It frequently accompanies the rounds by Ahmad Jamal.

Like many jazzmen black, it converted with the Islam in the Sixties and then took the name of Idris Muhammad.

In 1966, it marries Dolores " LaLa" Brooks, member of the group The Hooks; it also converted with the Islam, taking the name of Sakinah Muhammad . They divorced in 1999. They had together two wire and two girls.
