Idrîs Ier called Moulay Idrîs wire of Abellah (called Al-Kâmil ) Founder of the kingdom of the Morocco it is the back small son of Hassan wire of Ali. He fought at the side of the Alaouites against the Abbassides but was beaten by the latter with the Bataille of Fakh close of Mecque. After the defeat, it is escaped with his companion Rached in Morocco to flee the massacre of its family by the Abbasids in 786. It was accommodated by the Berbère S of the area of Walili (Volubilis), city rested by the Romans close to Meknès (788). He died poisoned by a servant sent by the Caliph Haroun Al-Rachid in 791, leaving his pregnant wife Kenza. His/her son Idriss II will reach the throne at the 11 years age. Its tomb is with Moulay Idriss Zerhoun, village with mountainside close to the ruins of Volubilis.

History

Idrîs Ier founder of the kingdom of Morocco second Moslem state completely independent of the Islamic caliphate after Al-Andalusians. It also founded the town of Fès (789) which will become the capital under the reign of his/her son and successor Idriss II. It was made recognize king by the tribe Berbère of the Awarba, which lives around Volubilis ( walili or oualili in Berber Langue), a city created by the Romans at third front century J.C., then launched several military forwardings to north to the south and in the east of Morocco, these forwardings permettèrent to unify for the first time the majority of the Berber tribes living in Morocco and to widen the borders of the kingdom.

Rached

Rached was a slave freed from Idrîs. It had protected it and accompanied in its exile since Baghdad to Morocco. He exerted a kind of regency with Abû Khalil Al “Abdîy. With died of Idrîs Ier, the wife of Idrîs, Kenza, was pregnant, Two months later, it put at the world a boy who accepted the name of Idrîs (791). He grows under the safeguard of Rached, his mother and Berber of which saw in him the carrier of the Baraka of the prophet. Ibn Khaldûn reports that the Abbassides made run the noise that Idrîs was the son of Rachid to discredit it.
