Idris Al-Mahdi

Idris Al Mahdi (Sidi Muhammad Idris Al Mahdi Al Senussi), or Idris 1st (rear RTL إدريسالأول) - born the March 12th 1890 in Algeria and died the May 25th 1983, grandson of Muhammad ibn 'Ali Al-Sanusi. Chief of the religious brotherhood of the Senoussis in 1916, it was constrained to exile himself in Egypt in 1923. Recognized like emir de Cyrénaïque by the English in 1946, he was king of Libya December 24th 1951 at September 1st 1969. He was deposited by bitter Mu' Al-Kadhafi whereas he was in medical care in Turkey and died in exile with the Cairo.
