the Knight of the dragon is the ninth volume of the Manga Fly.
Fly, Poppu, Léona and Gome goes to Bengana to seek weapons there. Their road crosses that of conspicuous the Meruru and Nabara, of the country of Teran.
But the Army of the Evil attacks with dragons and a hydre. After a fierce combat, Fly and its friends are victorious. However Fly uses its mysterious force, and, surpuissant, made fear with the inhabitants.
Meruru and its grandmother nevertheless recognized in the sign of Fly the symbol of the the Knight of the Dragon. In their country an underwater temple, the Temple of the Dragon is, of which nobody can approach. All the team goes there, but Fly wants to only go in the temple. He wonders indeed about his human origins or not, and feels the fear, even the contempt, of which he was victim. This is why, he says, he does not want that Léona and Poppu can which he is really, not to be scorned by them also. After its departure Poppu says that their friendship does not have any report/ratio, and that even if Fly is a monster that would not change anything.
Fly penetrates in the Temple, and arrives in front of a crystal ball, which explains to him why he is probably a Knight of the Dragon, having Pu to penetrate in the temple, and that a Knight is a Homme mongrel - Monster - Dragon. But its explanation is stopped by the irruption of Baran. He asks Fly if he listened to the explanations of the crystal ball, and orders to him to join him and Ban to destroy the human ones. In front of the amazement of Fly, it supplements the explanation: a Knight of the Dragon must prevent a species from dominating the world with the detriment of the others. This is why it must fight against the human ones. Rétorque Fly that the attacker is Ban, and Baran answers that Ban wants to release the Earth of human which pollute it.
In Karu, Hyunkel which followed the trace of the Fortress of the Demon meets a wounded knight, victim of Baran. This last requires of him to help it to bury his/her brother, most extremely of the knights, killed by Baran in person. Hyunkel finds the body under debris and, turning over it, notes that it has on its chest a similar mark with that which appears on the face of Fly. It realizes whereas all the team is in danger, and leaves to join his friends.
In Teran, Fly affirms to prefer to die to be combined with the Armies Evil which killed main Aban, and calls upon Aban Slash on Baran… which boxes it without stumbling, and retorts by saying that it is now forced to use the strong manner. A sign identical to that of Fly appears then on its face, and it destroys the temple partially. The crystal ball can only note that Baran is a Knight of the Dragon, which is normally impossible because there can be one Knight by generation.
On the Poppu dry land, Léona and the others see a column fire to spout out lake, and Fly to fall to ground. Precipitating to help it, they see Baran and its sign. In front of general amazement, Baran explains why he is the only true Knight, but that with its generation an incident occurred: Fly. He reiterates his request with Fly, which refuses again.
Poppu attacks Baran then so that Léona can look after Fly, but its incantation does not produce any effect, and Baran sweeps everyone. He then announces his intention to take along Fly. In front of the protests of Léona and Poppu, which claim that it does not have any right on Fly even if both are Chevaliers of the Dragon, rétorque Baran which it has of the rights, because Fly is his/her own son, of which it has been separate for 10 years. The proof is the sign on their face, because only him and Dino, the true name of Fly, carry it.
With the Fortress of the Demon, in audience in front of Round of applause, Hadora loses its means by intending God of the Evil to declare that if Baran succeeds in rejoining Fly, it will offer to him the position of Chief of the Armies, that of Hadora in person. This last thus cannot any more that to wish the victory of Fly, even if it has only one negligible chance.
In Teran, Fly, staggering, is raised, and, quoting Matorif, known as that there remains to him a last weapon against Baran, its courage which enables him to face anything or no matter whom…
