Ichy

Ichy is a common French, located in the department of Seine-et-Marne and the area Île-de-France.

Its inhabitants is called them Ichilliens .

History

To the Middle Ages, Ichy belonged to the counts of the Gâtinais. To died of the count De Coriolis the village which was an important village was yielded to the crown of France at the 12th century. Louis XIV had there a dependence which was used as relay during its displacements, the house known as " comtes" and which became today the town hall (classified historic building). It was taken again by Napoleon who remained there during the military operations carried out on the vast plain which surrounds it. At the end of the Empire, Ichy lost all its military role. But the vast plain was used as inspiration to the painter Folon.

Today Ichy is a peaceful village which saw agriculture and breeding.
