Icecap

A icecap is a Glacier of great dimension but whose surface does not exceed 50  000  km ² and whose characteristics brings it closer to the Inlandsis.

Their morphology approaches a plate frozen and covered with snow with the abrupt walls. The Glace creeps under its own weight or according to gravity. The ablation of ice is done by the cast iron and the production of lobes and glacial digitations.

The most known icecap is that of Vatnajökull in Iceland with 8  100  km ².
