Ibrahim Touqan

Ibrahim Touqan is a Palestinian poet born with Nablus in 1905 and the brother from Fadwa Touqan. It carried out its academic works (1923 -1929) with the American Université of Beirut. He taught the Arab literature at national school Al-Najah (University Al-Najah today). He worked then as professor at the American University of Beirut. He wrote its first poem with old 18 years. With Abu Salma (Abd Al-Karim Al-Karmi) and Abd Al-Rahim Mahmud, Ibrahim représentère height as from the Thirties, of the vagueness of the nationalist poets who ignited very whole Palestine by agitation and the revolutionary awakening. He is deceased in May 1941 following problems with the stomach at the French hospital of Jerusalem to old 36 years.
