Ibn Hichâm
Abû `Abd Al-Mâlik Ben Hichâm or more often Ibn Hichâm (??? - towards 834) is an Arab genealogist and grammairien.
Biography
Ibn Hichâm was born with Bassora, it studied the Hadith S with Koufa in Iraq then they settled in Egypt. It is known to have altered the first “biography of the prophet” Mahomet called will sîra and written by Ibn Ishaq. This biography is known under the name of Biographie of the messenger of God, Muhammad Ben `Abd Allah or the biography of the prophet or Biographie due to Ibn Hichâm .He also wrote a history of the antiquity of Arabia of the South Kitab Al-Tijan .
