Iberville (Quebec)

The town of Iberville is an old city of the Quebec located on bank is Rivière Richelieu in Montérégie. It was founded in 1859, on what then was called Christieville, with the place formerly called Thousand-Rocks.

Iberville counted approximately 9500 inhabitants in 2001 during his fusion with its twin city, Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, like with the town of Saint-Luc and the municipalities of Acadie and Saint-Athanase.
