Ian Fleming Publications: current name of the literary company holder of the rights of the character of James Bond creates by Ian Fleming.
In the past named Glidrose Publications , the company acquired its current denomination in 2002 when the descendants of Ian Fleming repurchased the company.
It existed already and carried the name of its founders, John Glid gift and Norman Rose . Repurchased by Ian Fleming in 1952 it was intended to protect and manage the rights of its works. Ian Fleming was the principal shareholder whereas his wife held a small portion of it.
In 1956, Ian Fleming recruits a Literary agent named Peter Janson-Smith so that it manages the rights of the novels and news of James Bond for the foreigner. During more than 45 years, Peter Janson-Smith provided the literary function of consultant and President of the company.
