Ian Burgess
Ian John Burgess is a British automobile old driver born the July 6th 1930 with London. It took part in 43 GP of Formule 1 including 15 cash for the championship of the world of 1957 with 1963. Sporting biography
In the beginning, Ian Burgess is employed at Cooper, however, it is not pilot, nor even mechanic but employee. In 1957, it obtains its owners the authorization to control T43- Climax official at the time of the Test out-championship of BRDC International Trophy. Burgess is constrained with the abandonment with the 23e 35e turns on breaking of engine.It disputes three tests out-championship in 1958 when Cooper engages it in championship of the world at the time of the GP of Great Britain 1958 where it controls T45. In 1961, it joined the stable Camoradi International which engages of the Lotus 18. In 1962, it loses its place at Camoradi and finds Cooper within the Anglo-American Équipe which engages a special model, T59-Aiden drawn by Aiden-Jones Hugh while the other models are traditionally the work of Owen Maddock. Ian Burgess is qualified in 16th place for its national GP then in Germany (and is classified respectively 12th and 11th) but does not manage to be qualified in Italy.
In 1963, it joined the stable Scirocco-Powell of Hugh Powell which has just repurchased the material of the stable Emeryson, which itself had repurchased old frames Connaught of 1960. If Scirocco SP (driven by a BRM V8) carries out its first turns of wheels to the GP of Belgium, it is only with the GP of Great Britain that Powell can finally engage a second single-seater for Burgess which shoulders Tony Settember. Burgess is qualified for the two Grands Prix in which it takes part but never receives the flag with checkerworks and leaves Formula 1 at the end of the season.
