Iakov Vassiliévitch Shishkin
Fighter pilot and Soviet Ace of the Second world war, decorated with the Order of Hero of the Soviet Union.
Career
Born with Alexeevka , in the area of Saratov, the December 23rd 1920, it engaged in the Red Army in 1938 and left licensed pilot the military academy of the Air " Engels" in 1940.It was to join the face only in December 1943, at the conclusion of a formation pushed in a specialized air center, and to be transferred to the 32.GuIAP (= air regiment of hunting of the Garde), equipped with P-39 Airacobra and with which it finished the war like Kapitan (= Capitaine). Having mainly fought above the Poland and the territory of the Reich, one can note among his air successes:
- 1 Fw.190 cut down the February 4th 1945 meadows of Breslau
- 1 Fw.190 cut down the March 22nd 1945 meadows of Steinau.
At the conclusion of this one it continued a military career, and after having been graduate of the Academy of the Air, in 1959, it took its retirement like polkovnik (= Colonel) in 1968. It was to die with Minsk the December 27th 1979.
