Iacopo Bellini

Iacopo Bellini (or Jacopo Bellini ) is a painter Italy N born in 1400 with Venice and died in 1470. He is the father of a dynasty of artists, of which Giovanni Bellini and Gentile Bellini.

Its representations of the Virgin to the expression engraves and with the sumptuous color keep something of the Byzantine tradition, still well presents to Venice in first half of the 15th century. Other tables which are allotted to him, are attached to the Gothic style and the art of Gentile da Fabriano, which came to Venice to decorate the palate with the Doges. But Iacopo especially worked with great decorative paintings now disappeared. The spirit of the Rebirth revealed with Iacopo by the artists florentins, inspires a studied construction of its tables and the deployment of noble architectures. But one also sees there expressing the taste, determining for the Venetian school, of the landscape and the familiar detail.
