ITU Ventures is a company of Capital-risque functioning mainly on developing enterprises around technologies emerging of the establishments of research and the laboratories of university. The company provides possibilities of investment to the investors in the field of high technology and financing with the companies in startings mainly in the field of the communications and the semiconductors. ITU Ventures is based on Los Angeles, California, the United States.

History

ITU Ventures is founded at the beginning of 2000 by Chad Brownstein and Jonah Schnel. Chad Brownstein was a member of divisions banking services of investment of Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette, and Jonah Schnel was a director at SunAmerica, Inc. ITU Ventures since then has the funds affected to finance the beginning and the unquestionable establishment of many companies in startings including Eizel Technologies since asset by Nokia, Coatue - since asset by Advanced Micro Enterprises, and Hier Design - since asset by Xilinx.

ITU Ventures currently takes part in the financing of the following companies, between others:

  • Luxtera: developing the products photonic, specifically, optical structures an order of magnitude smaller than those traditionally used in integrated optical apparatuses.

  • Makes Solutions: developing a platform of software which improves the effectiveness of the virtual environments of prototyping.

  • OEWaves: developing components for the high frequency oscillators, which allow improvements signicatifs on connections to broad band without wire and telecommunications by fiberoptics.

Directors of the company

ITU Ventures is managed by its founders and associated directing Chad Brownstein and Jonah Schnel, with Steve Schneider, the finance manager, Dr. Cahit Akin, and Leslie E. Bider, the strategist as a chief.
