IRIN

IRIN (Regional Integrated Information Networks ) is attached to the Bureau of the coordination of humanitarian associations (OCHA) of UNO. The IRIN places rough information and analyzes at the disposal of the actors engaged in the humanitarian action or the human Economic development and . Its articles relate to in particular the countries and the little mediatized situations, which thus obtain thanks to the IRIN a better visibility. The IRIN concentrates on the sub-Saharan Africa, the the Middle East and the Central Asia. Although the IRIN is attached to OCHA, its editorial Ligne is independent and thus does not reflect always the official position of the United Nations. Its public targets is composed of the decision makers of the organizations of humanitarian aid, the governments givers and of the countries covered by the IRIN, the defense organizations of the Human rights, the university institutions and the media.

Parallel to this work of setting in light of sometimes forgotten contexts, the IRIN also endeavors to give information worthy of faith to the communities concerned so that they can make decisions on their future in all full knowledge of the facts.
