IC 5267 is a spiral galaxy with small arms and a large heart reserved for the southern hemisphere.
It is not very far from Bêta of the Crane and close to Theta of the Crane, in an environment very rich into object:
- NGC 7412 (barred spiral galaxy of SBb type),
- NGC 7496 (barred spiral galaxy of SBb type),
- NGC 7531 (spiral galaxy of the indefinite type),
- NGC 7552 (barred spiral galaxy of SBa type),
- NGC 7582 (barred spiral galaxy of SBb type),
- NGC 7590 (spiral galaxy of the indefinite type),
- NGC 7599 (barred spiral galaxy of SBc type),
- IC 5325 (spiral galaxy of the type Sb).
It is necessary to use an open telescope of 200 mm to benefit fully from this very rich field.
