ICC Trophy Champions of 2006

The ICC Trophy Champions of 2006 was the fifth edition of the ICC Champions Trophy, who is an international competition of Cricket. She was played of the October 7th to the November 5th 2006 in India. The 21 committed teams disputed a total of 54 matches. The tournament was gained for the first time by the Australia, which beat finally the the Western Indies.

Turn of qualification

The four teams the least best classified in the ICC ODI Championship with the 1 {{er}} April 2006 disputed a preliminary round. The two best teams were qualified for the principal turn, and thus joined the six other qualified teams of office.

Principal turn

The eight qualified teams were divided into two hens of four. The two best teams of each hens were qualified for the semi-finals.
