Hypsilophodon
Hypsilophodon , or Dent of hypsilophe is one of smallest the known Dinosaure S today of the scientists. It was only 2 m long at the adulthood and just 1 m in height. Its weight could go up to 25 kg, hardly more. It made party about the Ornithischien S, of the goupe of the Ornithopode S and the family of the Hypsilophodontidé S.
Ses Fossile S was found in England, Spain and perhaps with the the United States where certain fossils belonging to him would have been found, but without certainty to date. He lived during the lower Crétacé, from -125 to -120 million years.
Hypsilophodon was a peaceful dinosaur. He ate only vegetable , generally of very small size, sheets and growths on the trees, grace in particular to his horn nozzle, in front of the muzzle, nozzle which resembled besides much that of the tortoise S. Its head was not, she, larger than a hand of child.
Ses fleshy cheeks enabled him to keep its food inside its mouth when it was occupied chewing it. The muscles actuating the jaws very powerful and were located at the back of cranium.
The Paléontologue S thought of the beginning, afterwards after having studied the bones of the foot S of the Hypsilophodon which this one had faculty to climb with the trees, insofar as these bones resembled much those of other arboricolous animals as the Singe S. the first reconstitutions of this dinosaur show it perched on the branches, but one realized later that its feet were not in fact able at all to cling to the trees because of the shape of their toes.
Like many other Ornithopodes, Hypsilophodon was equipped with long and muscular posterior legs, with thin and light bones, which enabled him to run to any pace when this one was race by a carnivorous . Its long tail was useful to him, like many other dinosaurs of this species, of beam, and had, so no difficulty of escaping its enemies. ----
