Hypocoliidae

The family of the Hypocoliidés (or Hypocoliidae ) belongs to the class of the Oiseau X and to the order of the Passériformes. She includes/understands only one species whose surface of distribution is limited to the Middle East (Iraq but probably extends from the south of the Arabia to the borders of the Iran).

Systematic position

It was traditionally a subfamily of the Bombycillidés. Certain authors regards it as a close but distinct family.

In the classification of Sibley and Monroe, it is intermediate between the Pycnonotidés and the Cisticolidés.
