The hyperthermia is rise local or general of the Température of the body, above the normal figure of 37-37,5 °C, or it is the rise in the central body temperature to the top of 38 °C. This hyperthermia can result:
- of the reaction of the body to a Disease, one speaks then about Fièvre;
- of one exposure to the heat of the sun, one speaks then about insolation ;
- of one exposure to ambient heat (Heat wave, industrial environment, Fire), one then speaks about traditional heat stroke ;
- of an intense effort with a bad dissipation of the heat (because of a too hot environment or too insulating clothing): one speaks about heat stroke of exercise or effort .
There is risk of death beyond 41,5 °C (irreversible cerebral Complications)
Treatment of the hyperthermique one
Treatment of the Heat stroke , traditional or of effort:
-
Monitoring of the temperature ( monitoring )
- Cooling of the patient (to strip, apply cold and wet linens, cold gastric washing in specialized milieu, ventilation of the air, bath to 2 degrees under the temperature of the patient especially in the children)
- Drugs: Paracetamol, Benzodiazepine
- Measurements of hydration (+++) and filling (in specialized milieu).
