Hypericaceae

The family of the Hypéricacées is a family of plants Dicotylédones. Often cettes plants is included in the Clusiacées. The Classification APG II (2003) accepts this family: she includes/understands approximately 560 species divided into 9 kinds:

  • Cratoxylum, Eliea, Harungana, Hypericum, Lianthus, Santomasia, Thornea, Triadenum, Vismia .
Herbaceous or woody plants, with opposed, simple sheets and without stipulate, whole.

They are shrubs or herbaceous plants, with sheets opposed to whole margin, which are found on all the continents.

The traditional Classification of Cronquist includes cettes plants in the Clusiacées, in the order of the Theales .

The phylogenetic classification locates this family in the order of the Malpighiales .
