Hyper BASIC

Hyper BASIC is a version Compilée of the language BASIC implemented on the computer Oric Telestrat.

The language Hyper-BASIC was created by Fabrice Broche, in 1985, with the objective to offer to Telestrat a truly powerful language.

contrary to the BASIC of the Oric Atmos or the Oric 1, developed in 1981 by Tangerine and directly adapted BASIC Microsoft, Hyper-BASIC has an editor of code full-page: one can modify the code directly on the page, to make ravel the listing to the top or towards bottoms, and each line is compiled with validation what makes it possible to detect the errors of syntax immediately.

Hyper-BASIC has original enough instructions for a BASIC, and also logics in a little particular positioning of Telestrat:

  • of the orders Minitel (CONNECT, MLIST, MLOAD, MLOADA, MUST, MPRINT, MSAVE, MSAVEA, BOXING RING, UNCONNECT, WCXFIN)

  • of the orders of managements of channels, such as windows screen, buffers, etc (CLCH, CROSS-COUNTRY RACE, CROSSX, GET], OPCH, PRINT])
  • of the orders of control of the port series RS232 (CONSOLE, SDUMP, SEBUF, SLIST, SLOAD, SLOADA, SMODE, SOUT, SPRINT, SRBUF, SSAVE, SSAVEA, SPEED)
  • of the orders of management of Diskettes (system STRATSED)
