Hylesinus oleiperda
Hylesinus oleiperda or hylésine of the olive-tree is small a Scolyte. It is a ravageur which develops on the olive-tree.
The females lay in small galleries under the bark of the tree to give the days to small larvae. Those dig in their turn of another small galleries, which results in to stop the circulation of the sap and to make decay the olive-tree.
It is advised to eliminate wood reached following a gel and not to leave under the olive-trees the under wood. The latter will be crushed for the finest branches or will be incinerated.
