  • Apalanthe, Appertiella, Blyxa, Egeria, Elodea, Enhalus, Enhydrias, Halophila, Hydrilla, Hydrocharis, Lagarosiphon, Limnobium, Maidenia, Najas, Nechamandra, Oligolobos, Ottelia, Stratiotes, Thalassia, Vallisneria .

One can quote in France the grenouillette floating plant of the kind Hydrocharis and the Elodea of Canada plants submerged of the kind Elodea . They are plants of calm water, at the edge of banks.

The history of the Elodea of Canada in Europe is particular: it is an entirely submerged plant which, originating in North America, was imported at the beginning of the 19th century. Breakable, it reproduced by natural propagation by cutting at such a speed that it invaded the European rivers. Dioïque plant, one knows in Europe only feet females with extremely rare flowering; there is thus no reproduction sexuée in the case of Elodea and much of individuals are in fact of the clone S.
