Hydro-ejector

the hydro-ejector is an eductor of water (or air), using a fluid under pressure, (generally of water) in order to creates a Effet Venturi, and thus an aspiration.

the sappers firemen are equipped with it, for various missions of aspiration, like the exhaustion of buildings, of well, tanks… But also for the filling of cistern of machine sets fire to, when the maximum height of aspiration is exceeded or although the advance is too long.

Operation (see diagram)

  1. the hydro-ejector is fed under pressure by the driven back water of the pump on the level of the blue opening.
  2. the pressure is transformed of speed on the level of the reducer of green diameter
  3. the increase the speed of water in this zone, creates a depression (Effet Venturi), that aspires water to be evacuated.
  4. the aspired water and drainage injected is done by the red opening of a higher diameter.
