Hydri beta

Beta Hydri (β Hyi/β Hydri) is the the most brilliant star of the Constellation of the male Hydre (to be noted that this constellation should not be confused with the Hydre).

It is with approximately 24,4 light-years of the Ground. Beta Hydri is often studied because it could give information on what could arrive at our Sun in next the 2,5 billion years. It is larger and slightly more massive than the Sun. It probably has planets.

In the neighborhoods of -150, this star was with two degrees only celestial south pole. It is currently the relatively brilliant star nearest to the south pole.
