Hwair (capital Ƕ , tiny ƕ ) is a additional letter dating from the Moyen-âge, still used today to transcribe the gotic Alphabet.
Linguistics
Hwair is a binding of H and v being used to transcribe the letter Gotique same name, marked like a /w/ labio-velarized deaf person, or a /x/, Indo-European Phonème Germanic old resulting from *kʷ (cf Latin qu ) which, in the others Germanic Langues, evolved/moved in (noted wh in English, in pronunciation RP; one finds however achievements local, in Scotland for example, with), in German or Dutch.
