Hwach\' has
The hwach' has is a weapon of Korean Artillerie , built starting from 1451 and used during the dynasty Choson. It belongs to the group of the firearms known under the name of " arrow of feu" , invented by the Chinese four hundred years before (towards 1044) and described in a document, Wu Ching Tsung Yao, indexing materials and pyrotechnical machines then used in China. It is already described there devices of multiple launchings similar to those used by Korean in 1451.
Some of the first anti-personnel devices created in Korea were composed of small rockets attached to arrows which projected points during their explosion. When one realized that several of these rockets could be launched starting from the same container, larger versions of these anti-personnel devices were created and used in the battle. These larger anti-personnel devices were designed to be transferred onto vehicles with wheel such as carriages or Brouette S with two wheels. Hwach' has, which was used in 1451, made it possible only one man to roughly transport 100 rockets in the battle, and proved particularly effective to fight the Samurai S Japanese which invaded the Korea then, those advancing on Korean in tightened rows, thus presenting ideal targets for the operators of Hwach' A.
