Huub Rothengatter

Hubertus Rothengatter (known as Huub Rothengatter ) is an automobile old driver Dutch born the October 8th 1954 with Bussum. Biography

Huub begins its automobile career relatively late since he devotes himself to the Karting only at age the 18 years. Is 23 years old, it leaves Holland to dispute the German championship of Formule 3, while being registered concomitantly with the European championship of the discipline. Within Racing TEAM Holland, he is the fellow-member of Jan Lammers. The results of Huub are not transcendent, but he manages to find financings to reach the Formule 2 in the TEAM Chevron. In three years, he manages to gain only one victory, in Zolder, in 1980, over a Toleman. Endowed to obtain contracts of sponsoring, it passes in Formula 1 within the stable Spirit - Hart in 1984.

In 1986, it engages at Zakspeed, like fellow-member of Jonathan Palmer, by paying its wheel with the full price. But Zakspeed is not better than Spirit or Osella… At the wheel of Zakspeed 861, of which the engine is conceived in-house, Huub finishes only 2 GP before giving up its career of pilot of Formula 1 at the conclusion of the GP of Australia.

It does not leave therefore the world of the automobile race since he becomes manager of his compatriot Jos Verstappen, that he will lead in Formula 1.
