Husk-on-Chantereine is a common French, located in the department of Seine-et-Marne and the area Île-de-France.
Its inhabitants is called Breuillois (be).
Geography
This commune is located at 20 km in the East of Paris; to 23 km of Meaux; to 40 km of Melun.It is surrounded by the Pine Villevaudé in North, by Pomponne in the East, Vaires-sur-Marne in the South and Chelles in the West.
History
The city is mentioned at the 13th century for its seigniory of Feydeau de Brou. Sit of the congregation of the Sisters of Jesus Crucifié, founded in 1930 to accommodate women of delicate health there. It accommodates a church with the collation of the Louis-the-Large college and a convent of Mathurins, founded to the 13th century with the place says the Villeneuve-with-Asses.

The city is committed in activities of International solidarity and Decentralized Co-operation. The carried out actions multiple and are varied:

The results of this project from now on are registered in the fight against the human vulnerability vis-a-vis the climatic risks in the Caribbean one.
- Co-operation citizen : the city is member of Ong Brazilian SOLIDARIEDADE of Porto Alegre since 2005. She supports actions of Association Care and Concern with the Sri-Lanka.
- Other actions : Husks support the projects of the local ASI (Mali, Cuba, Haiti), organizes every year the “Days of International solidarity”.
Husk-on-Chantereine is in particular member of plain Cities France as vice-president of the group Caribbean country (in the Pole Latin America), Member of the Commission of the world Businesses (CCRE-CGLU), member of ATTAC, member of the International observatory of participative democracy (OIDP), member of network 9 of program URB-AL and member of the network of the elected officials and territorial collectivities out-AGCS.
The blazon
The blazon represents the weapons of the family Feydeau de Brou, which had the grounds of 1608 with 1844. The branches of oak represent the area of the wood (which surrounds the commune). The crown, as for it, is the symbol of the crowns carried by the Greek goddesses who protected the cities. To the bottom of the blazon, the Military Cross 1939 - 1945, with a bronze star was added on November 11th 1948 by max Lejeune, Secretary of State to the Armed forces with quotation with the Order of the Regiment.

Transport
The city is served by the Réseau of bus Apolo7, which gives access to the line C of the RER, to the line D of the RER, the lines.

Tourist monuments and places
The castle of Husk-on-Chantereine was built at the end of the 17th century by the family Feydeau which had acquired the ground of Husks in 1608. It remained in this family of Parisian members of Parliament during two centuries.Altered at the 18th century, forsaken after the French revolution until in 1844, it is then repurchased by Charles Floréal Thiébaut, bronze founder of art in Paris, and always belongs to the Thiébaut family which recently made many restorations there. It was classified historic building in 1984.

Teaching
The commune gathers two nursery schools (Suzanne-Demetz and Daniele-Casanova), two elementary schools (Jean-Jaurès and Romain-Roland) and a college (Jean-Jaurès). The departmental school inspectorate of State education of the nursery schools and primary is located at Lagny-sur-Marne; that of the college is located at Melun.
Health
For a few years, Husk-on-Chantereine a private clinic has sheltered: Chantereine private clinic; and a medical analysis laboratory. In 2006, the commune counted four general doctors; three specialist physicians; eleven medical auxiliaries and two pharmacies. The city is attached to the inter-commune Hôpital of Montfermeil and to the Hospital of Lagny-sur-Marne.
