Hurricane Isaac (2006)
The hurricane Isaac is the 9th tropical storm and the 5th hurricane of the cyclone season 2006 for the basin of the Atlantic Ocean. The name Isaac had already been used in 1988 and 2000.
Chronology
At the end of September 2006, a basic zone pressure located at the center of the Atlantic Ocean developed a persistent convective activity and was constituted in tropical Perturbation. September 27th, a depression was observed there. It was indicated Tropical depression TD-9 . September 28th, it had reached the threshold of Tropical storm, with 1300 kilometers (810 miles) with the east-south-east of the Bermuda. It was named Isaac .
September 30th, Issac became hurricane and approached with a minimum 450 km (280 miles) in the east Bermuda before turning towards north. October 1st, it followed the coasts of the Nova Scotia and accelerated. October 2nd, before striking is of Newfoundland (Canada), Isaac was retrogressed in post-tropical storm.
