Hurlus (the Marne)
Hurlus is an old commune of the department of the Marne.
History
The village of Hurlus counted 88 inhabitants in 1911. During the First World War, the village was destroyed. It was raised never again, victim of this war.During the creation of the military camp of Suippes in 1950, the commune was officially removed, and its territory attached to the common neighbor of Wargemoulin, which took then the name of Wargemoulin-Hurlus to perpetuate the memory of the disappeared village.
Geography
Hurlus is in the North-East of the department of the Marne, between Rheims and Verdun, on the crossroads of the old roads which connected Ville-sur-Tourbe to Nap-Suippe and that which left to Souain.
