"It is in Hunaudières that Wilbur Wright made the August 8th 1908 with 18:30 on the racecourse of Hunaudières close to Mans, a first experiment which was crowned with a full success. as of the first test, the airplane directed by M.Wilbur Wright, rose in the airs. It described, being held with a height from 15 to 20 complete meters, three circles, traversing thus approximately 3 kilometers and half, in 1 minute 46 seconds, and came very easily, almost without jolt, to land with 20 meters of its starting point; the landing did not cause with the apparatus the least damage. a hundred people assisted to with it, among whom Mr. Archdeacon, MISTERS Blériot, the Gasnier aviator, of Angers, members of Aéro Club of France, which announced last year, in the test of the Cut Gordon Bennett; Mr. Zens who, last week, began experiments with an apparatus of his invention, and some representatives of the press French, German, American, English. They cordially applauded M.Wright."
