Humphrey Bogart

Humphrey DeForest Bogart (born the December 25th 1899 with New York and deceased the January 14th 1957 with Los Angeles) was an American actor .

Called “Bogey” or “Bogie” by its public, it remains today one of the undeniable myths of the history of the cinema. In 1951, he was prize winner of the Oscar of the best actor for his role in the Odyssey of African Queen . In 1999, it was classified Greatest Male Star off All Time (literally Plus large star male of all times ) by the American Film Institute. Birth and childhood

Humphrey DeForest Bogart is born the December 25th 1899 with New York. His/her father, Dr. Belmont DeForest Bogart, is a surgeon of confession presbytérienne and republican tendency . They remained married until the death of Bogart and had two children: Stephen Humphrey Bogart , born the January 6th 1949 and become writer, and Leslie Howard Bogart , born the August 23rd 1952 and become nurse.

Disease and death

Humphrey Bogart falls ill in the middle of the years 1950. Reached of a cancer of the esophagus, he refuses to consult a doctor before January 1956, but he was already too late. He dies the January 14th 1957 with Hollywood. Its funeral takes place in Episcopal All Saints Church. Its ashes are buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, with Glendale.
